The values in the RGB fields for the black point are 25R, 25G, 25B, which produces a very dark gray. 9 PICK YOUR METHOD Eliminating a colorcast is simple and requires only a few steps to improve color relationships. I've presented three different meth- ods to choose from depending on the image. If the image has no white or black point, then visually apply the color balance tech- nique. If there is only a white point, then use the lightest area as a marker to adjust the numbers to neutrality. Finally, if the image has a white point and black point, then you're in luck! e process is virtually automatic. I think you'll find that with these tech- niques even the most discolored images can be improved. By the way, if you want to give these techniques a try, you can download the images used in this article at https://gpro.link/srom922. GP When the light and dark extremes are adjusted using the WPBP method, all of the colors are remapped, and everything falls nicely into place.
