And the presents are all wrapped neatly under the tree – it sounds like the picture-perfect Christmas scene, right? Except it's not ... at least not yet! As I write this, it has been over 100 F, for what feels like forever in Texas. While the thoughts of Christmas and colder weather only feel like a distant memory and a fer- vent wish, we know that time will fly by – and the busiest of seasons will be here before we know it. In the personalization business, is it always Christmas?! Yes and no. It may not always be the Christmas busy season, but it is always a season – weddings, back-to-school, etc. And all the other seasons are really moving us toward what is the most wonderful sea- son of all. No matter your stage of laser engraving ownership (crafter, entrepreneur, full-time or part-time customization, retirement, etc.), the holiday season will likely be the biggest and brightest time of your year. MACHINE MAINTENANCE One of the key steps to success through- out all the seasons is machine mainte- nance. Did I just hear a few of you groan? I know it isn't the most glamorous of top- ics but is certainly one of the most vital things you can do to keep things running smoothly. In our business, we have two of the famous blue and white lasers (both are six years old) – and they can best be described as workhorses.
