January 2015 n Performance & Hotrod Business n 11 RPG Names New Manager, VPs Restoration Parts Group (RPG), Lebanon, Ohio, has announced several new appointments. Jim Pennekamp has been a part of RPG for over 40 years and, during that time, has become an integral part of the company, responsible for everything from customer programs, new product development and advertising, according to a press release. As the company's new group marketing manager, Pennekamp will be responsible for the oversight and execution of all marketing strategy across RPG's six companies. "Jim has simply been invaluable as our go-to guy for everything marketing related," said Mitch Williams, CEO. "Now at six brands, RPG needed someone with experience in everything—from sales to product develop- ment to customer relations—to oversee the group's mar- keting efforts. We had that person in Jim and are excited for the future of the company." Now the new vice president of sales, Alex Tainsh previously held the position of director of operations at SoffSeal Inc., and will bring his extensive knowledge and expertise to his new position, the release noted. Tainsh has been associated with Trim Parts and PUI in the past, having worked as sales and marketing manager alongside Pennekamp and as executive vice president of PUI. "Alex knows our customers. He understands them and will be key in helping us help them to continue to grow and thrive," Williams said. "In the past, Alex has deliv- ered time and time again, both at SoffSeal and as an active member of the ARMO Council, and we are excited to continue our growth with Alex aboard." Now the vice president of operations, Jason Kellams brings extensive experience and knowledge to his new position, having worked previously as the VP of operations at Evansville ARC and as the senior manager of manufacturing at Nissan North America, according to the release. Kellams' strengths in P&L management, systems development and leader- ship are key to his new post. "We are excited to welcome Jason Kellams to the RPG family," Williams said. "With his managerial experience from Nissan North America, time heading up the automotive interiors division at Toyota Boshoku, and act- ing as VP of ops at Evansville ARC, we know that Jason will be a huge asset for RPG as we continue to solidify our place in the restoration industry." Finally, RPG's former supply chain manager, Ben Bowman, has been promoted to vice president of supply chain management. Integral to the company's growth in the last year, Bowman will be responsible for enact- ing company-wide supply chain initiatives, sourcing programs and quality assurance standards, according to RPG. "Ben has been an invaluable resource for RPG over the past year as PUI's supply chain manager," Williams explained. "He's taken the supply chain ball at PUI and run with it. In addition to his responsibilities in the role as PUI's supply chain manager, he's taken on a plethora of projects that have gone above and beyond the normal call of duty. He was instrumental in instituting PUI's quality assurance program, implementing the dielectric hell pad project at Trim Parts and was instrumental in the acquisition of Mr. Mustang."
