January 2015 n Performance & Hotrod Business n 67 The logos, decals, etc., were created in my Flexi sign program. I cut the panels in paint mask and applied them to the sides of the car. Here I use a large flat to paint the panel. I'm using a medium brown 1 Shot let- tering enamel that I mixed to match the original color. (You could also use a foam roller.) I paint the yellow in the "Duffy's" the same way. For the rest of the copy, I make a paper pattern. I use an electric "pounce" machine that burns small holes in the paper. This allows me to "pounce" the layout with either charcoal or talcum powder (depending on the back- ground color), allowing me to see the layout so that I can hand- paint them. The powder is in the box that I hold in my hand.
