Orr to its sales team. He has experience in every aspect of the sales channel, from manufacturing to the retail sales floor, according to the company. "We are pleased to have Bruce join us as a key member of our sales team. Bruce's skills and 27 years of sales experi- ence from manufacturer, independent sales representation and retail is a great addition for our company," said Tim McCarthy, founder of HushMat. Motovicity Builds ASE-Certified Team In 2013, Motovicity Distribution hired Ryan Balicki as its sales manager. And, in less than 12 months, he has put his years of previous management experience to use with several initiatives, including the establishment of the performance after- market's first ASE-certified WD sales team. "Working with the caliber of shops and retailers that we do, it's important to offer our customers service beyond order entry. With an ASE-certified sales team, we are able to do just that," said Balicki. Like the members of his sales team, and much of the Motovicity staff, Balicki is a lifelong enthusiast. In his role as Motovicity's sales manager, he will continue to work with the newest members of his team to help them earn their ASE certifi- cations and continue to implement additional improvements to the Motovicity customer experience, according to a press release. "I have personally known Ryan for many years and am happy to have him on board. He brings a personality that fits our team, along with a fresh perspective on leadership and sales," said Motovicity VP of sales and marketing, Brian Lounsberry. Gm Lauds Borgwarner's Quality BorgWarner's facili- ties in Frankfort, Illinois, Water Valley, Mississippi, and Ithaca, New York, have received 2014 Supplier Quality Excellence Awards from General Motors. Presented to only 17 percent of GM's 2,300 sup- pliers in the United States and Canada, the award rec- ognizes supplier manufacturing locations for achieving consistently high levels of quality based on 13 defined performance criteria, according to a press release. This is the second award received by BorgWarner's Frankfort facility. "At BorgWarner, we are passionate about delivering high-quality, advanced technologies to help our custom- ers improve the performance, fuel economy and emis- sions of their vehicles," said James R. Verrier, president and chief executive officer, BorgWarner. "I would like to congratulate our employees for their daily dedication to quality. Your hard work has resulted in over 40 years of producing reliable components for GM." From its award-winning locations, BorgWarner sup- plies GM with HY-VO transmission chain (Ithaca), one- way clutches for the rear-wheel drive 6-speed automatic transmission family (Frankfort), and mini-direct acting variable force solenoids for global front-wheel drive 6-speed automatic transmissions (Water Valley), the release noted. The components are used in a wide range of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. Orr Balicki Phoenix Systems Adds NAPA, McReynolds Phoenix Systems, St. George, Utah, has announced an agreement with NAPA/Balkamp to put its brake care products in NAPA's retail stores. As part of the agreement, NAPA locations will now have access to BrakeStrip Brake Fluid Test Strips and the new NAPA Service Tool 2104-B Reverse Brake Bleeder, according to a press release. "These tools have made a great impact with our customers and are providing them with a faster, better and safer way to finish the job, and, most importantly, provide complete comfort and reas- surance to the customers they provide service to," said Roy East, national sales manager for Balkamp Tools and Equipment. The company has also reached an agreement with Larry McReynolds to become the company's official spokesperson. "As the NASCAR crew chief with the most wins in the history of the racing organization, McReynolds understands the impor- tance of proper maintenance on all types of vehicles. His automo- tive understanding and international renown will be an asset to the company," said Ben Martinsen, VP marketing & operations at Phoenix Systems.
