Not all of that change, however, is immediately applicable to building a traditional hot rod or muscle car. Our goal here is to survey the industry, find out what's new, and help you decide what can help your builds—and what's best left to the hardcore racers. "M142 exhibits all the benefits of 4032—tighter clearances, reduced noise, increased wear durability—with increased tensile and fatigue strength," he states. So far, so good.
