March 2015 n Performance & Hotrod Business n 63 "Once we got the car apart we noticed it had one-piece frame rails and he wanted something that would handle a lot bet- ter," says Mike Nixon, Mo' Muscle Cars mechanical manager. "So we went with an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis, which complements the LS2 engine nicely." The original bumpers and trim were nicely preserved, so nothing was done to them at first, although all of the trim has since been re-chromed. The car has all the modern amenities a person would expect in a serious cruiser: power seats, doors, windows—even power vent windows. The audio system consists of a Rockford Fosgate 10-inch subwoofer, Kenwood component speakers, a Pioneer head unit and an Alpine amplifier, all controlled through the center console. The rear seat was reused; the power front seats came out of a 2007 GTO. The LS2 engine sits neatly inside the smoothed engine bay and firewall.
