April 2015 n Performance & Hotrod Business n 109 GM Camshafts Melling, Jackson, Michigan, introduces its Class II RV/ Torque Camshafts for GM 4.8, 5.3, 5.7 and 6.0 engines. Not for use with stock springs and not CA compliant, the three-bolt camshafts feature a 0.307-inch intake and 0.311-inch exhaust lift, with a power range of 1,500 to 5,000 rpm. Throttle Pedal Tilton Engineering, Buellton, California, presents the latest in its line of Performance Racing Pedals, the 600-Series Throttle Pedal. The new throttle pedal is designed to mount onto the existing under-dash framework used for the brake and clutch pedal assembly. By complementing Tilton's existing 600-Series aluminum overhung and firewall pedal assemblies, the throttle pedal allows customers to have a matched set of clutch, brake and throttle pedals. It is designed to accept Tilton's throttle linkage kits (sold separately). Big-Block Ford Heads Air Flow Research (AFR), Valencia, California, presents its new big-block Ford Bullitt CNC-ported cylinder heads with stock or 0.250-inch raised exhaust ports. The heads are now available in 270cc, 285cc and 300cc intake runner versions, with 75cc or 88cc combustion chambers now available. Flow testing of the 300cc head revealed 427 cfm (intake) and 284 cfm (exhaust). Dyno tests of a 521-ci pump-gas engine running 270cc heads and stock exhaust ports showed 727 hp at 6,400 rpm and 674 foot-pounds of torque at 5,000 rpm WRX Exhaust System CORSA Performance, Berea, Ohio, offers a new 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX Exhaust System, including 2.0-liter turbo and WRX STI 2.5-liter turbo applications. Designed to provide improvements in sound, performance and quality, the system includes patented Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology that dials out the low frequencies that cause drone. The Sport sound level is robust under acceleration and growls at idle. A non-restrictive, straight-through design and generous 3-inch-diameter air path produces less back pressure. Jeep Heads Edelbrock, Torrance, California, offers a new Performer cylinder head for 1987-2006 Jeeps with 4.0-liter inline-six engines. The cylinder head is designed as a bolt-on performance upgrade, featuring all-new, better-flowing intake and exhaust ports, a modern combustion chamber design with back- cut and swirl-polished valves. It retains the stock valve angle, pushrod length and valve cover bolt rail height for use with factory components and off the shelf accessories. It also includes larger reinforced rocker bosses for improved strength at high rpm. Same-Day Injector Blueprinting RC Engineering, Torrance, California, offers rebuilding and blueprinting of OEM injectors service. For shops on a time crunch, RC offers same-day turnaround injector blueprinting on a special-order basis. No shortcuts are taken; injectors are tested, cleaned, balanced and calibrated. The customer receives a detailed before/after performance report. Requirements for same-day turnaround include use of early morning delivery by UPS or FedEx to RC Engineering's facility.
