18 n Performance & Hotrod Business n May 2015 Boost Controller AEM Performance Electronics, Hawthorne, California, presents its TRU- BOOST Gauge-Type Controller, an elec- tronic boost control- ler that combines the simplicity of a manual boost controller with the added ease of adjusting boost levels through a gauge interface. There is no external interface required for setup, and it is fully functional right out of the box. The gauge includes an on-board 29-psig pressure sensor, built-in over-boost protection with two timed shutdown levels, a scram- ble boost setting and a low-side output for a warning light. Wrangler Supercharger Kit RIPP Superchargers, Staten Island, New York, offers its RIPP Supercharger Kit for 2015 3.6-liter Jeep Wrangler applications. The kits provide an additional 130 hp to the rear wheels. Additionally, RIPP builds applications for 2005-'14 Wranglers, and 2011-'15 Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos. Made for the daily-driven weekend warrior, the kits install in 8 hours and can yield 1-4 mpg improvements. Roots-Type Superchargers Eaton Performance, Southfield, Michigan, presents its Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Roots-type superchargers for a variety of engine applications. The TVS design delivers power and fuel economy in a smaller package, with four- lobe rotors and high-flow inlet and outlet ports that enhance thermal efficiency, and offer higher volumetric capacity and higher operating speeds. The five aftermar- ket distributors of TVS technology are Edelbrock, Harrop Engineering, Magnuson Products, ROUSH Performance Products and SLP Performance Products. Water-Methanol Injection Banks Power, Azusa, California, presents its StraightShot Water- Methanol Injection systems. Available for domestic and import cars, trucks and motorhomes, the sys- tems offer power gains of up to 175 hp. They are popular in forced-induction gasoline applications, as the injected fluid acts as an octane booster/anti-detonate, allow- ing for higher boost levels and the use of aggressive tuning. Performance results include improved fuel economy, reduced intake temperatures and lower exhaust gas temperatures with diesel applications. Mustang GT Supercharger System ProCharger, Lenexa, Kansas, introduces the ProCharger Stage 2 Supercharger System for 2015 Ford Mustang GT applications. The system bolts on 230-plus additional horsepower on stock GTs with 8.5 psi of boost and pump gas. It features a dedicated eight-rib belt drive to ensure enough belt traction to support over 1,000 hp. It also comes with a highly effective air-to-air intercooler with a large 1,103-inch core size. The system can be installed in less than 8 hours and requires no permanent modifications to the vehicle. Nitrous Valve Nitrous Supply, Huntington Beach, California, presents its racing Powervalve 500R, a quarter-turn, full on/off-position valve that can be used with 5- to 20-pound- capacity aluminum and carbon fiber nitrous bottles. It is is an extreme high- flow-8 (.500) orifice valve that is equipped with a spring-loaded safety pin to prevent accidental opening and comes with a racer safety. It accepts a 5/8-inch siphon tube and has two 1/8-inch NPT gauge ports.
