Pelletier's three-tier business encom- passes the sale of Camaro parts (the facility has a retail store that's open to the public), collision work and complete restoration services, which makes up about 50 percent of the shop's workload. Camaros Plus' projects include 100- percent restored vehicles and resto-mods, vehicles with a classic appearance that are souped up with modern features like fuel injection, overdrive transmission, and big brakes, wheels and horsepower. The same year he purchased Camaros Plus, Pelletier sold Denver-based Cherry Creek Auto Body, a collision shop he pur- chased in 2005. He began focusing on renovations, but the body shop business quickly came back to him. And while Camaros Plus' parts business has diminished every year, its resto-mod business has grown exponentially. The only things the shop doesn't do in-house are motors and heavy interior work. "Business is booming," says Pelletier. "We're probably up 30 percent from the move and the exposure we're getting. If you count stuff we have on the backburner, Camaros Plus is a big supporter of the Camaro Club for Colorado. The shop offers members a 10-percent discount on parts sales and sponsors the club's events. we're probably backlogged nine months." Pelletier's auto industry career includes work as a body shop technician, success as a sales representative with BASF Automotive Paint and Sikkens Automotive Coatings, and recognition as a skilled painter. In fact, he takes care of all of Camaros Plus' paint work. "We're known for our paint work," he says. "That's our specialty."
