Increasing consumer demand for pro- tection on a hard-to-protect design. Consumers are also demanding prod- ucts to aesthetically enhance their vehicle so that they can customize their ride to make it one-of-a-kind. What is driving this trend? Higher quality paint on new vehicles, as well as consumers keeping vehicles longer due to denser materials, elec- tronic upgrades, and increased per- formance. Consumers want to protect their investments, while also keeping it looking flashy and setting their vehicle apart from the rest. Demographically, what type of consumer does this trend most appeal to? Men within 30 to 45 years of age. How has Dawn Enterprises responded to this trend? We constantly engineer new, higher/ thicker moldings that are both protec- tive and aesthetically pleasing, with the introduction of chrome inserts and 13 colored extruded inserts. We precision- engineer our body side moldings so that they will absorb damage from shopping carts and door dings, rather than the body of the vehicle, saving hundreds of dollars in repairs when compared to inexpensive body side molding. What steps can shops and retailers take to capitalize on this trend? We offer POP displays that have three small pieces of painted body side molding (painted with no insert; painted with a chrome insert; painted with a color insert) to show the dif- ferent types of molding we offer and the quality of our products. These POP boards also have a vehicle image of the shop's choice displaying the body side molding on it to demonstrate what it looks like on a vehicle. We also offer brochures, catalogs, and other marketing materials to suit the needs of any shop or retailer. Dawn Enterises
