We see the market moving toward more luxury brand vehicles, increasing the overall vehicle cost. What is driving this trend? With the SUV entry cost on the high side to begin with, the market is willing to spend a bit more to get the added features offered by a high-end name. Those who could afford to pay cash could always pay more and those who had to take on a payment saw the cost of leasing as a way to get luxury at an affordable monthly rate. Demographically, what type of consumer does this trend most appeal to? This is truly an 'all' demographic market. How has Owens Products responded to this trend? First, we ensure fit of our current line of boards as new vehicle models are released, which gives us a quick offering. We have been working on a new-look line of more aesthetically pleasing boards, which will be released within the next few months. What steps can shops and retailers take to capi- talize on this trend? Get hands-on samples for your shop. We have merchandisers available for most of our prod- ucts and that is the first and most important thing retailers can do. Exposure to the buyers of these vehicles is very important. Owens Products
