Plates Announces New President By Natalie Jane Frels Identification Plates Inc. announces its newest president, Matthew Crownover—the third generation of his family to lead the Mesquite, Texas-based manufacturing company. He officially took the lead as president on January 1, according to the company. Crownover, who grew up learning the business from his parents Doug and Karen Crownover, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College and a bilingual Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Methodist University and has volunteered, studied and worked in over 20 countries. During his 14-year career as a medical chaplain in Dallas area hospitals, he received multiple certifications in the fields of oncology, psychiatry, emergency room and neonatology. Finally, the time came for Crownover to discuss the future of the family-owned business with his parents. "I came to appreciate the business as a force capable of doing great things for our community," the new president says. "I joined my parents in exploring what the future would hold for the company they spent their lives building." According to the company, Crownover officially joined I.D. Plates in September of 2013 to re-integrate into the organization. In August 2015 he gradu- ated from the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses program in Dallas, Texas. He is looking to the future with big plans for the next generation of the family- owned business. "I know our future is bright," he says. Vision Announces New Mobile-Friendly Site Vision Engraving and Routing Systems announces the launch its new mobile website. According to the Phoenix-based com- pany, the mobile site is more user-friendly where customers can view videos, easily access social media, speak to sales or technical support, and submit requests for information. Vision customers using mobile devices and tablets will be automatically redirected to the new site. "Mobile traffic is increasing rapidly," says Joe Ivanenok, president of Vision.
