30 a-e-mag.com • A&E OCTOBER 2016 SUBLIMATION KIOSK V2.0 Need a no-brainer way to get photos from your client so you can create personalized products? Whether you have a storefront or want to set up at an event, this software makes it a snap to get a photo from your client's smartphone to your computer. No apps are needed, and any smartphone with Wi-Fi and a browser will work. Using your computer and a wireless router (I recommend an Apple brand router for ease of configuration) along with the kiosk software will provide a quick and easy way for your clients to send you hi-resolution versions of their photos. No internet access is needed since the Wi-Fi network connects the smart phone to your laptop. With the Sublimation Kiosk, you can really accelerate your sales of personalized products. INTRODUCING COLORLYTE GLASS When I first saw ColorLyte glass, I couldn't believe my eyes. The imaged glass seems to violate the sublimation laws Live Portrait How would you like to sublimate videos into your products? This is a great value add-on that is sure to be a hit with clients to con- nect photos with videos for things like vacations, weddings and just about any event that has an associated video. Through special arrangements with A&E, let me show you first-hand how this works. From your smartphone, download and launch the "Live Portrait" app. Next, with the app open, point it at this magazine's cover. If you are reading online, just point it at the digital cover version. A video should immediately start playing. So how can you offer this service to your clients? I have created a special program with the folks at Live Portrait. To receive an invite, email me at liveportrait@conde.com. I think this can be a great profit boaster that will get the wheels of your clients turning to do more products with embedded videos. Of course, it's not limited to sublimation, but can be used with any image that can be scanned with your phone. How much should you charge for this service? What are other applications for Live Portrait? Let me know your thoughts. ColorLyte glass is available in a variety of sizes and almost seems to defy the laws of sublimation physics.
