He has found success targeting both regular season teams as well as selling awards to tournaments. "State tournaments and regional tournaments are always moving around, so sometimes we don't get those. But we always see a spike (in orders) at the end of the season, sometime in March," he says. Currently, medals are a popular award for these customers, but they also order large amounts of sublimated jerseys and T-shirts as well as promotional products such as lanyards and bag tags. Bet you didn't know… According to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), ice hockey was one of only eight team sports tracked by the association to experience a net gain in youth participants from 2009 to 2014.
