10 • A&E JANUARY 2017 Epilog Opens European Support and Distribution Center Golden, Colorado-based laser manufacturer Epilog Laser announces the opening of its new European support center in the Netherlands to expand its international presence. Located in Houten, Epilog Laser BV celebrated its grand opening with an open house event on October 27 and 28, 2016. According to company officials, the facility houses machine inventory as well as technical support resources to better serve customers and distributors in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Day-to-day operations at the new support center will be overseen by Epilog Laser BV General Manager Richard van Densen. With an extensive background in the laser and optic industry, van Densen has managed channels for both Euro- pean and American companies. Martin Monrooij, technical support manager, will manage all technical support needs for Epilog's distributors in the EMEA region. Monrooji has worked for a variety of European companies, overseeing the tech- nical support groups in these positions. Office Manager Naima Yaakoubi will act as the main contact for distributor marketing support. Yaakoubi has extensive experience supporting international sales, marketing and customer support teams. "We've compiled a fantastic team to oversee our European operations and we are thrilled to expand our presence and better serve our customers and distributors in the EMEA regions," says Mike Dean, vice president of sales and marketing. "(van Densen) and his crew are incredible assets and we are excited to start this next chapter with them." CerMark Sales Inc. The business, he explains, shut down in June 2016 due to competition in the area. "Honestly, they couldn't survive against the local company that has been there almost 30 years," Stover tells A&E magazine. The motivation behind the move comes after tremendous expansion of the company's product line, which includes its laser marking material— CerMark Sales' number one seller. "Our laser marking material sales have increased at least 125 percent or more over the last year," he adds, explaining that the main driving factor of this growth is what Stover calls the "Yeti craze." When Yeti couldn't meet the demand for its products around Christmas 2015, CerMark Sales began production on a new line of stainless steel tumblers in January 2016. "That was a major factor in the need for this expansion because the new line of cups takes up a lot of News
