20 • THE DIGITAL DIRECT REPORT • 2016 UV-LED PRINTING MUTOH'S VALUEJET 426UF UV-LED PRINTER The 19" VJ 426UF printer from Mutoh can print onto on a variety of materials, including 3D objects, as much as 2.75" thick, with Mutoh's 100 percent solid UV-LED ink. Print directly onto limitless promotional items including pens, phone cases, golf balls, awards, and much more. The printer offers six-color capability, including white and varnish ink, and smart printing technologies such as Intelligent Interweave print technique, which is reported to virtually eliminate banding. Everything needed for success with this technology is provided by GoVivid. That includes two private label printer models (the Breeze and the Wave), RIP software, a variety of printable substrates, onsite installation, training, and full documentation. The Breeze's maximum print size is 11.5" X 31". Items 7.5" high and weighing up to 20 lbs. can be decorated. Maximum print resolution is 1,440 X 2,880 dpi. Inks are supplied by 220ml cartridges. It has a printable area of 28" X 20" and can handle items as thick as 6" high and weighing a maximum 22 lbs. Maximum print resolution is 1,200 X 1,200 dpi. Ink is supplied from 1-liter bottles, and white ink circulation technology is included. The 7151 is designed for efficient production. Six print heads in a staggered configuration provide print speeds as fast as 45.31 sq. ft./hour. The printer is reportedly easy to operate and maintain. Users can connect to the printer via Ethernet or directly through a USB port. An event mail notification system is included, allowing printer status to be monitored remotely.
