Kern Laser President Derek Kern tells A&E magazine that phase one of the project began in May and is expected to wrap up in the fall, allowing for the company to add new equipment and up to 10 more employees. Phase two is anticipated to begin in the next three to five years with an expansion of its technical support and office buildings. Marco Awards Launches Mobile App for On-The-Go Ordering Marco Awards Group customers now have ordering capabilities in the palm of their hands following the launch of the company's mobile app this month. With all the features and functionality of the company's website, the app, available for IOS and Android, launched this month after six weeks of development, according to Marco Director of Marketing Cathy Garcia. Just a year and a half ago, Marco debuted its StoreFront—a "no-touch order entry website," she explains. Since updating the ordering platform, the company has seen tremendous growth in sales. Now, 18 months later, the company is taking the next step to expand its digital presence, catering to the modern-day needs of its customers. "Since the launch of our StoreFront a little over a year ago, I have been tracking the order patterns of our customers," Garcia tells A&E magazine. "I was shocked to see orders after-hours and weekends and knew that (customers) would greatly benefit from the ease of ordering via the app on both IOS and Android." The Marco app is especially conve- nient for the company's representatives who want to access the StoreFront via their mobile devices to place orders. "We invested in the resources to make sure that all of the StoreFront features were included in the app. It's just like ordering on your desktop," she adds. "It's all about convenience—Marco anywhere, any time." The Marco Awards Group app is free to download via the App Store and Google Play.
