64 • A&E APRIL 2018 You probably noticed that A&E got a logo redesign that launched last month. In honor of all the change that the magazine has undergone throughout the years, let's look back at a few of the different "looks" we've gone through since our start in 1988, starting with the logo. Looking Back: A&E Logos A&E In the beginning, Awards & Engraving Business was rendered in a simple font across the top of the magazine cover. Moving back in time, the second logo A&E sported was actually Awards & Engraving Business, the original name of the magazine. It, too, was featured in the top center of the magazine cover. The original name eventually got replaced by the shortened A&E (Awards & Engraving) that we call it today. The iconic A&E logo that symbolized the brand until the last issue (March 2018) had been in place since 1993. It was originally placed in the center top of the cover, then eventually made its way to the top left.
