OKI Data Americas Raises Funds to Help Wildfire Victims Irving, Texas-based OKI Data Americas, a manufacturer of office equipment and supplies and wide-format print- ers, recently used part of its time at an industry trade show to lend a hand to raise money for victims of the recent wildfires and subsequent mudslides in California. The company partnered with a nonprofit, California-based Direct Relief, which provides on-the-ground assistance to those impacted by natural disasters. At the show, OKI Data Americas gave away specially-designed, limited edition T-shirts to those who donated money to Direct Relief. Fifty percent of the money raised for the nonprofit was matched by OKI Data Americas. Direct Relief has been providing Southern California medical facilities with emergency supplies and medicine since the fires began in early December and the organization continues to aid local communities as they work to reclaim what was lost in one of the most devastating barrages of wildfire in California history. Idealliance Introduces Three-Tiered G7 Master Program The Alexandria, Virginia-based International Digital Enterprise Alliance—better known as Idealliance—announces that it is building upon its G7 Master printing qualification program by introducing three-tiered levels of G7 Master proficiency audits consisting of: G7 Grayscale (fundamental), G7 Targeted (intermediate), and G7 Colorspace (advanced). A facility can be granted G7 Master Qualification by achieving compliance with the specific requirements of one or more evaluation levels. Idealliance is the world's largest certifying body and the Idealliance G7 Master Facility Qualification is the most sought after and widely known qualification for process control and color management in the world, according to the nonprofit. "The Idealliance G7 Master program is the world's leading print facility validation program," says Tim Baechle, Idealliance vice president of global print technologies and workflows. "These new levels will assure customers that their print service providers have the color printing and proofing profi- ciency they desire, further aligning the supply chain. Without such tiers, print buyers may not know whether a printer has achieved the appropriate G7 level they need for a particular job or a particular process."
