Danielle White, whose career with the company dates back to 2010, has been promoted to technical sales repre- sentative. In her new role, White covers Nazdar's Northeast territory for the organization's Narrow Web division. Also, Jim Whitehead has been appointed as sales manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based in the UK, Whitehead will be responsible for sales management of Nazdar-branded and non-OEM private labelled screen, digital and narrow web products in that region. Mutoh Australia, the Australian division of the Japan- headquartered printer and cutter manufacturer, announces the appointment of Russell Cavenagh as its new general manager. The company says Cavenagh is a wide-format print specialist that brings more than 30 years experience to his new role, which will have him overseeing Mutoh's operations in Australia and New Zealand. Maryland Heights, Missouri-based Coastal Business Supplies announces the addition of two new employees to its workforce. The company appoints Rebecca Claxton as graphic designer and Matthew Maurer as social media coordinator and copywriter. Claxton joins Coastal with prior experience in the custom sign industry and a passion for apparel decoration and design. Maurer comes to his role with prior experience conducting social media and market research for large private incentives firms in the St. Louis area. Wadena, Minnesota-based Kern Laser Systems announces that it has officially completed phase one of its planned expansion. The company has expanded its manufacturing area, and phase two, which will start sometime in the next three to five years, will be add- ing on space to its technical support and office areas. Ultimately, the buildout will add up to an estimated 21,000-square-foot expansion. Wide format printer manufacturer EFI, Fremont, California, announces the addition of three to its executive ranks. Gene Zamiska joins EFI as the company's new chief accounting officer. Zamiska, a licensed CPA, comes to the CAO position with a long record of successful tech sector financial management and reporting. Mark Allred, also a licensed CPA, joins EFI as the company's new vice president of corporate accounting. In addition Jill Norris has been hired as the firm's new chief information officer. The Washington, D.C.-based Sign Research Foundation, a nonprofit that issues grants to academics and experts who conduct research on the social, economic and aesthetic ben- efits of on-premise signage, announces the addition of two members to its board of trustees. Matthew Shad, currently zoning administrator for the city of Cincinnati, and has more than 25 years of experience in the public sector in regulatory, economic development and city management positions. Sarah Wexler, head of global store design for clothing maker Under Armour, is also joining the non- profit's board of trustees. Louisville, Colorado-based Global Imaging, a value-added reseller and integrator of wide- and grand-format printing systems, announces the promotion of Leslie Herrmann to technical services manager. Previously, Herrmann had served as workflow studio manager, where she was responsible for all equipment maintenance, sample production, con- ducting customer demonstrations, managing inventory and production personnel, and supporting onsite sales.
