Engraving Concepts' Service Tech Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary Engraving Concepts Service Technician Michael Evans cel- ebrated 10 years with the company in April of this year. Evans was originally hired to handle in-house tech support for the equipment the company sold and to take the lead in researching color equipment options available when the company was still offering direct-to-garment equipment. Looking back on Evans' hire in 2008, Engraving Concepts Founder Roy Brewer says, "Michael came up to me at a trade show and asked if we were hiring. He had been servicing embroi- dery systems and DTG printers. After speaking with him, I felt sure he could pick up the technical aspects of mechanical and laser engravers, so we agreed to give it a try." He continues, "Michael has a strong work ethic and before long, he was our go-to guy when it came to technical difficulties." Get the details here: THE NBM SHOW Visits Northern California Stop number two in 2018 for THE NBM SHOW was California's capital city of Sacramento, which hosted the two-day event for the first time. "THE NBM SHOW in beautiful downtown Sacramento deliv- ered!" says Dave Pomeroy, National Business Media's vice presi- dent of publishing and markets. "This event was everything we had hoped and planned for — bringing our unique mix of classes and exhibits to the vibrant northern California region. We wel- comed many attendees who had never visited THE NBM SHOW before, who enjoyed meeting with exhibitors over a very busy couple of days." Of the eight shows NBM has in 2018, five of them are of the company's relatively new two-day variety. "THE NBM SHOW in Sacramento again proved that our small- market, two-day show format really works," says James "Ruggs" Kochevar, publisher of Sign & Digital Graphics and WRAPS maga- zines. "Our exhibitors looking to reach new buyers found what they were after, and the concise show and education times made it possible for shop owners to come to the show, take the classes they were interested in, and meet with vendors in an efficient timeframe. "If you were not able to make it out to Sacramento, I highly sug- gest coming to one of our many shows throughout the country."
