The most basic overlay we see is a print out website or phone number that falls on a bumper. Reason being is the pitfalls of bumpers with printed info usually results in more time for installers taking longer to constantly pop up the material to ensure the text is centered and straight. In some cases company fleet work is done over a long period of time as the company grows and adds more vehicles to their fleet. So, when all 10 are lined up, are all the text and logos in the exact same spot on all vehicles? Ask yourself what the best tech- nique is to ensure you will get the same outcome if you were to wrap it 10 times in a row. 2 0 1 8 • WRAPS • 37 In this wrecker ex- ample a seam was needed on the hood because it's wider than 60" both ways, so I planned the art to have a hard line to cut on. Did you post-heat to ensure long-term suc- cess? If edges fail and corners wrinkle up prematurely, there's a good possibility you didn't. Be careful, your customer may use someone else next time! CONCLUSION A lot of very similar wrap moves and techniques are used in the color change world using knifeless tape and proper planning of seams and nishes. Hope- fully, these techniques will be helpful and can be used on your next project to achieve a cool wrap-around effect. Good luck, and keep wrapping!
